Zoom Meetings
The British Model Soldier Society National Zoom Meeting takes place every month hosted by James Opie. Apart from being an opportunity for BMSS members anywhere in the world with email to meet up online to chat, the Zoom meetings have a monthly theme or themes, guest members from the Ontario Model soldier Society and a slide show for which members send in photographs of interest, whether following the theme or not. We have on occasion viewed more than 300 photos in these slide shows.
The meetings take place on Friday evenings from 7.00 pm, usually the third Friday in the month, dates being shown on the back of the membership card. Links to these meetings are sent out in advance a few days beforehand.

For our Military Pageant meeting on 15th May, we made a first attempt at running a photo competition. Everyone who sent photos to add to the slide show was invited to nominate their favourite one of them for the competition. These were then shown to the meeting individually and collectively, when all attendees were asked to declare their own favourite out of the seven. We thereby, with eleven votes available, came to the result. Two firsts, with three votes each, four thirds, with one vote each, and one seventh, without any votes at all. Entrants were not allowed to vote for their own entry.
